Caleb is my little sorting man! yesterday he was sorting his megablocks into colors. Observe the purple (which he can name and identify himself).

I made this sweet little bracelet for Adelle's Blessing day:

And a couple of her first smiles! This is a rare moment for her;)

Mommy 'n Me bracelets I made:

And this one is just for fun:

Tautphaus Park Zoo

Friday we met cousins at the zoo in Idaho Falls. It was nice to go, and Adelle was even cooperative! See how sweet she looks when I am wearing her. (There is a leaf falling in front...)

Caleb

Well Adelle isn't the only one that is growing big around here. I thought that I should say a few things about what Caleb is up to these days. This morning I had Adelle in the car seat while I made myself some breakfast. Caleb came in and started playing with her. She loved it. Especially when he began to play This Little Piggy with her toes. I tried to get a video, but he stopped once I had the camera. He absolutely loves being a big brother. He likes to show 'his baby' off when we go places. He is also becoming a fabulous helper. A couple of days ago I was having a tough day and he could tell, so after dinner he started to take the dishes to the dishwasher and put away the leftovers all by himself. It is great to get some help around here ;)

Caleb has been learning his colors. He can name most colors accurately. He is so proud of himself when he names the colors. He is also learning shapes. In general he is talking more and more. I am often surprised at his rapidly expanding vocabulary. And he melts my heart when he unexpectedly says things like 'love you' (when I was putting him to bed) or 'see ya' (this morning to Devin as he left for school).

Adelle

She is growing up. She no longer has the newborn look. She looks more like herself. She is now awake a little more during the days looking around at everything. She hasn't lost her hair yet, so maybe she will keep it? Caleb went bald at about one month old, then stayed that way for about a year. Adelle is not Caleb, maybe she will keep her hair?

Just an update

Adelle has already gained over a pound! She was 8 lb. 2 oz. today. Didn't I mention that she was starting to get some baby chub...She is in that awkward size where she doesn't exactly fit into newborn size stuff anymore, but the 0-3 month size stuff is still huge on her. At this rate she will fit the 'huge' stuff by next week I would guess...
On a different note. We aren't sleeping much here these days. Little Dell is still adjusting to all of this digesting business. The only thing that I have found that works is wearing her in a baby wrap. The tricky part is that I can't sleep while wearing her, but she can. Any experienced mommies feel free to offer suggestions! (I have tried the gas drops and gripe water and letting her sleep on her tummy and assimilaid and a few other things. Though not all of those at once, she is still a newborn.)
Enough ramblings. Have a great day everyone.

Life is Good

Adelle is starting to get some baby chub. Caleb is still lovin' this big brother stuff!

Rapelling

'While waiting' we went repelling with Devin's family on the 21st. My mom and my aunt Merrilee were able to come since they were here waiting with us. Good times. Devin wanted me to go, he thought that repelling would be a good way to start labor. I decided no. I don't think that the harness would have fit my huge belly anyhow.

Ok, so we were waiting for baby for days, but we sure had good times anyway.

Ducks

Caleb just loves feeding the ducks at the nature park. We save all of the bread heels for him to feed to the ducks. Our first family of four outing was going to the park to let Caleb feed the ducks. He was one happy boy!
